Hu, Katis and Tremols travel with Coach Flanagan on NCSA All-Star Team

Janet Hu, Chuck Katis, and Nick Tremols were selected for the NCSA All-Star Team. Coach John Flanagan was selected as a coach of the All-Star Team. The All-Star Team competed in the Irish Long Course Nationals, April 29-May 2, 2010. The All-Star Team was selected based upon the results at the NCSA Junior National Championships which were held on March 16-27, 2010, in Orlando, Fla. The All-Star Team left for Dublin, Ireland on Sunday, April 25 and returned to the States on Tuesday, May 4. The All-Star Team consisted of 26 male and 26 female swimmers, and eight coaches.

Peter Banks, High Performance Director for Swim Ireland commented that “This is a really exciting opportunity for Irish swimmers to step up to the challenge of competing against some of the world’s top junior athletes, right here on their doorstep in the National Aquatic Centre."

Competitive Swim Team

Each training site within the club develops age/experience training groups that reflects the training time, and strength of the coaching staff. Please refer to site(s) of interest within the club for more specific details on the training groups and their practice schedules.

Generally speaking, you'll find these practice groups offered at most of our facilities:

Senior Team - consists of swimmers 13 and older. This group practices 8 or more times per week.

Intermediate Team - consists of 9 -12 year olds. This group practices 3 to 5 times per week.

Junior Team - consists of 8 & unders. This group practices 2 to 3 times per week.

High School Prep, Option 1 - This program is designed to meet the competitive needs of swimmers who would like to prepare for the High School dual and championship meet season, and prepare for summer swimming. A minimum of 3 practices a week is required. Available to swimmers ages 13 and older only. Practices run from September through May. No meets are included in this program.

High School Prep, Option 2 - This program is the same as Option 1 above, with the following exceptions:
Practices run year round. Meets and attendant entry fees are included in this program.

Intermediate Prep - This program provides a team experience for those swimmers years who wish to have the advantage of professional team coaching, but with only a two day per week commitment. It is ideal for those swimmers who participate in other sports. Available to swimmers ages 9 through 12 only. Practices run from September through May. No meets are included in this program.
